Graduate Students:

The Barrett group is seeking to take ~2 graduate students for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Interested prospective students are encouraged to apply to graduate studies at the University of Toronto (UofT) through the Department of Chemistry graduate program, or the Department of Physical & Environmental Sciences (DPES) PhD program.

Please note the following important deadlines:

UofT Chemistry graduate program (domestic) - Early deadline February 1, 2026, Final deadline April 30, 2026

UofT Chemistry graduate program (international) - Final deadline December 5, 2025

DPES PhD program (domestic) - Final deadline May 15, 2026

DPES PhD program (international) - Final deadline January 15, 2025

If you have/are intending to apply to either of these programs and are interested in pursuing research in the Barrett group, please contact Prof. Barrett via email (holly.barrett@utoronto.ca) and include your CV and transcript, and please describe why you are interested in our research program.

Undergraduate Students:

 Reach out to Prof. Barrett via email (holly.barrett@utoronto.ca) to discuss potential research opportunities and projects. Please include your CV and transcript (unofficial is acceptable) in your email.

Postdoctoral Fellows:

Please contact Holly to express interest, including a description of a potential projects that aligns with the interests of the group. Please be prepared to provide two academic references and your CV.
